St. Albans II, Pt. 2
Bathroom Renovation
The goal for this project was to get this bathroom out of the 80's and make space to move the washer & dryer from the garage to the house. In order to achieve those goals the bathroom was mostly gutted, the wall it shared with a hall closet removed and the closet door opening was enclosed. In place of the old fiberglass tub and surround is now a modern tiled walk in shower that includes a wall niche and corner bench seat. The shower was finished with floor to ceiling glass panels and a glass door. Large ceramic tile flooring was installed and the vanity was replaced with a space saving pedestal sink flanked by new sconce lighting. By expanding the floor print of the bathroom we were able achieve the goal of moving the washer & dryer inside and had room for cabinets and a small countertop. New direct mount LED ceiling lights and an exhaust fan were also installed.
